Dominic Wightman: Editor of the Westminster Journal
Dominic Wightman has been Editor of the Westminster Journal since 2007 and has overseen the journal’s move from the UK to the US in 2010-11.
Dominic Wightman is mostly based in London England and used to specialize in counter extremism and terrorism, working as an intelligence adviser to a British politician (2006-7) and contributing investigative evidence to various Westminster-based think tanks between 2007 and 2009.
Pre 2011 the Westminster Journal was focused purely on exposing Islamist extremists and the journal’s success in highlighting the plans of the extremist Islamist sect Hizb ut Tahrir were widely received. In 2011, Dominic Wightman decided it was time to expand the journal’s offering and now the Westminster Journal covers myriad topics from Culture to Politics; from Business to World Events.
Dominic Wightman was a keen rugby player and is Vice President of his local team as well as Life Patron of a former rugby team he played for inSpain.
Dominic Wightman’s role as Editor of the Westminster Journal is carried out alongside several business interests. Dominic Wightman is a Director of aFar East mining company and a security company, as well as being involved in a number of web properties across the world.
Dominic Wightman is married to fashion model Widmaru Calma. They have two children and spend their time between London and Venezuela.
